Let Me Be

Let Me Be

A Poem by Lookwithinsight
"

Noticing you're on a downward spiral, but not wanting help.

"

From the weakest crease in me,

the darkness starts to seep.

From the weakest piece of me,

there’s another mouth to feed.

I can’t believe a girl like me birthed such twisted

entities.

Another crease is another need.

Another fear whispers to my ear,

"You’ve gotta bleed, or feel nothing."

So the darkness seeps,

little blots of ink.

Give me time to think,

while I’m on the brink of

nothing.

Little blots of ink,

coveting my covering.

The ignorance is ecstasy.

Why won’t you just let me be?

This is a truly amazing description of the 10,000 pound Gorilla that some people go through life with on their back every day that little by little, drop by drop, sucks the life out of them. If only we could be free of what ales and persecutes us in our minds right? Great job. Thought provoking. Only improvement would be to make sure all lines are evenly spaced. This is one of the biggest errors I make. Your writing is beautiful, make sure the presentation is flawless :)

I have been there before in my life as a teen.
This piece gave me chills! I really like the darkness and mystery of it. Great job!
