My God, You're Beautiful

My God, You're Beautiful

A Poem by Jeff
"

I saw this woman while waiting for the train this morning.

"

You were standing less than five feet from me

The first thing I noticed was your hoodie

thin blue and brown horizontal stripes

It complemented your skin and auburn hair

which fell carelessly just passed your shoulders

We caught each other's eye when I moved into your line of sight

to step out of the way of another commuter

Your chocolate brown eyes

which were framed perfectly by your rectangle glasses

immediately melted my foul mood and I smiled at you

I could have sworn you blushed as you looked away

The train finally arrived

You were standing slightly behind me to my left

I moved to the right of the door and let you pass

Ladies First

Again you smiled

but this time I saw your cheeks flush

I don't know if anyone has told you lately, but:

Wow Jeff..great, great story...Felt the heat of first site boiling off of this! Funny how little moments can seem so intimate and beautiful. Thanks for mentioning this to me...it was an enriching read! :D

An outstanding poem with wonderful descriptions of the 'first encounter.' Very delightful. I think we all have those but how often do they lead to second or even third encounters?
