Let it go parody

This is a parody I wrote of the song 'Let it go' from Frozen where Elsa is a lesbian which is the true reason her parents kept her locked away. I wrote a fanfic which inspired me to parody the song.

For years I’ve been told not to give in, I can’t let my feelings be seen

It was easy to hide locked away but it’s not now that I’m queen.

My parents’ voices ring loudly in my head

“You’re a monster, you’d be better off dead.

Don’t let them in, don’t let them see,

Be normal like your mom and me

Conceal, don’t feel, don’t let them know”

Well now they know.

Let it go, let it go

Can’t pretend I’m straight anymore

Let it go, let it go

Time to see what hell has in store

I don’t care what people say

Let the haters hate

Their comments never bothered me anyway.

It’s funny how some people have different views on what is right

Is it better to be gay or straight, or black or white?

It’s time to see what I can do

To be myself instead of you

No rights no wrongs no rules for me

I’m free.

I’m waving ignorance goodbye

Let it go, let it go

You’ll never see me cry

I’ll stand proud now I’m out as gay

Let the haters hate.

My sexual preference shows and I am not ashamed

For I was born this way there is no one that can be blamed

And now I’m out I cannot wait for gay pride

I’m never going back in the closet to hide.

I can finally be who I am

I like girls and that’s okay

I think this is very well written and is is a great parody of the original. Fantastic use of the rhyme and I like the personal feel that you gave this song.
