MaleficentA Poem by Leanne EstelleThe 5th poem in my fairytale collection. They all think I’m evil because I’m different, No one wants to be friends with Maleficent. I hide in my fortress so I’m never seen, Who could love someone with skin that’s green?
I’ve never been invited to a party or ball, But I’ve heard there’s a celebration with an invitation to all. It’s for the birth of a baby " a princess no less! But I don’t know what to give her or how I should dress.
Everyone is starting to get an invite, Mine must be lost for it’s nowhere in sight. It’s been weeks now and I’m getting downhearted " Especially since now the party has started.
Don’t get upset; maybe they forgot? Maybe it slipped their minds, then again, maybe not. I know I’m no beauty but how dare they judge! They’ve made a mistake ‘cause I can hold a grudge.
I’ll curse that baby to die at sixteen, So now they won’t be lying when they say I’m mean. They call me a villain so that’s what I’ll be, I’ll take my revenge and make them all see! © 2014 Leanne EstelleReviews
