The Poisoned Apple

The Poisoned Apple

A Poem by Leanne Estelle
"

Another poem I wrote with the help of two of my fellow classmates in creative writing from the perspective of Snow White.

"
An old hag placed a red apple in my hand
All because she wanted to be the fairest in the land
This was her attempt to take my life
After the huntsman failed to stab me with his knife.

I accepted the gift and took a bite
But suddenly something didn't feel right
Despite the feeling I swallowed it down
Poison spread through my body as I fell to the ground.

I was told one bite would make my dreams come true
But this was a lie - I wish I knew.
Asleep in a coffin surrounded by flowers
I lost track of the days, minutes and hours.

A prince kissed me and broke the spell
And across the kingdom all was well
But the horror goes on for me
Despite the queen's death and our victory.

About
My number one passion is writing; there is nothing I love more is this world. My pen is my best friend for it knows me better than I know myself sometimes, whenever I don't know how to express my feel.. more..
