My best friend

My best friend

A Poem by Leanne Estelle
"

Some say a dog is man's best friend but a ferret is a girl's.

"
I miss when his whiskers got sticky when he lapped up ice cream beneath the sun
I miss his dance of death and the way we would always have fun
I miss his soft brown fur and his otter-like features
I miss my best friend; the kindest of creatures.

I miss his cute tiny ears and his cold, wet nose
I miss how he would nibble on my toes
I miss how he would roll around in the grass and act all mental
I miss my best friend for he was so gentle.

I miss how his squeak would make me laugh
I miss how he would squirm in the bath
I miss how one minute he'd be totally crazy
Then the next he'd flop down suddenly lazy.

If I could say anything and give him one last kiss
The thing I would say to him would be this:
I miss the first day I brought you home and we watched Doctor who
You are my best friend, I love and miss you.

My number one passion is writing; there is nothing I love more is this world. My pen is my best friend for it knows me better than I know myself sometimes, whenever I don't know how to express my feel.. more..
