Time capsule

Time capsule

A Poem by Emily
"

Love, fantasy

"
Her heart flutters as she pulls out her pen and paper,
She wants so badly to be thrown in a time capsule,
Taken back to the old days of pen and paper,
The days of checking the mailbox waiting for a letter.
Life seems so easy now,
We send a quick text if we want to talk to someone and usually we get a simple response.
I want to sit down and put the time and effort into a letter,
To wait and wonder when I’ll get a response back from the one I love.
I want to take the time to grow with a person.
To learn who they are and what they want and desire in life.
I want to be courted,
Not treated like I’m the weird one for not putting out.
I wanna know a man loves me for my heart and is willing to wait.
Someone find this girl a time capsule.

You are absolutely correct. In this modern age of technology what has gone the way of the dinosaur is the anticipation for love. Every response is immediate now. Love happens in seconds of a text and ends as fast as a tweet.
