Lead me out of this darkness

Is anybody out there? 

Can you hear my thoughts, can you hear my prayers?

Someone please lead me out of this darkness and into the light, 

Carry me along the way and show me what this life is all about. 

I'm sick of being in the dark and not knowing what is going on around me. 

So show me what it's like to live a happily ever after in this dark world. 

Show me that I'm not standing in this world all alone.

Teach me what it's like to feel whole, to feel like your worth something. 

I've lived this life for so long feeling alone and in the dark, 

I need to be taught the ways to live this life the right way. 

Like a child in a sandbox, carefree with no worries is what I want. 

I just need that chance to see what I've been missing for so long.
