I hide

I hide behind my writing, 

God forbid I tell people how I really feel, 

I hide from the fear of being hurt again, 

I hide the pain deep down so nobody will see, 

Because honestly why would I want that?

What's it going to do for others to know I'm hurting?

Nothing, it'll do absolutely nothing so I bury it deep within. 

I'll keep hiding from my pain because that's what I've learned to do best. 

Put a smile on and act like everything's fine.
