I wish

My wish is for you to see yourself the way I see you, 

I wish for you to be happy with everything you do, 

I wish we could be together right now but I know we need to wait. 

Wait for this divorce to be over, wait for her to be moved out. 

I wish you knew how much I respect you for not letting this go farther, 

Even when we both know we want this to go somewhere that we have to wait, 

It shows me the man you are, a loyal man who has morals, 

I hope she doesn't hurt you more then she already has, 

I don't want to see you struggle through a nasty divorce,

You've struggled through so much already. 

I just want to stand by your side, as your best friend until this is all over. 

I want to support you, through thick and thin.
