Neck

Neck

A Poem by Lilith
"

A bear uses a kitten.

"
The bear and the kitten cuddle under the tree,
both sleeping pleasantly.

The bear wants to move,
he takes the kittens fragile neck into his sharpened mouth.
The kitten struggles at the sharp pain,
but let's the bear do what he wants.
Because she's afraid he'll abandon her.

If he left, she would be so lonely.
With no one to cuddle anymore or lick her fur.

The bear carries her into a shadier place,
his teeth still in her fur.
He lays her down softly on the cool grass.
He licks the bloody neck and then,
nuzzles her tiny body,

and the kitten purrs.

I liked the logic of the poem. All of us need to be safe and warm. A nice tale described. I did like the ending. Thank you Lilith for sharing the excellent poetry.
