Crossroad Blues 1A Poem by Loney tunesdescribes that Rubicon point in our lives mixed with indecision, confusion and youthful naiveteThe Crossroads Blues 1 I reminisce of days in the cage Of safe and glorious imprisonment Of same and torturous treatment That has left me almost demented. Finally at the moment I hope not to later rue. I ponder on, confused which I should choose as my hue. The idealism of light, inviting Its brightness, also blinding. As my thought closes on completion I stare deeply into my complexion. Finally the deed is done, Existing newly as a novice, Wandering freely, naive me. As the breeze softly hiss Evoking hideous mockery. Suddenly am slapped stingingly By the breeze, the saviour of the day Turns tyrant, making a lay Of waste of promises and prophecies Strongly held, believed in..................... I stand at the junction cornered Flexing my muscle Gaping at reality; My hustle. © 2012 Loney tunesReviews
