It's been a while since I last wrote

An extra special antidote

Curing the poison of love and hate

That goes around and circulates

A fair and lovely little note

To a fair maiden that caught my eye

And shot my mind into the sky

A letter from a maiden's quote

A cluster of end rhymes in repeat

Short and simple, clever and neat

Destruction from an eagle's throat

The answer is presented to thee

With images of jealousy

It's been a while since I last wrote

A framed love letter in a moat

Drifting far from the beloved one

And never receiving... no... none
