Tears Fall Like Rain

 

I tried to give her a helping hand,

A shoulder to lean on,to help her stand,

I only caused her Heart-ache and Pain,

it isn't fun when Tears Fall like Rain...

I tried to use Humor to see her smile,

I did what I could to make her happy for awhile,

The Ghosts from her past came calling again,

but it isn't funny when Tears Fall like Rain...

Then one day something changed my world,

I got a note from my little girl,

Once young and Innocent,now she's all grown,

My little baby now has some of her own,

Natural Childbirth must've been quite a pain,

Sometimes it's wonderful when Tears Fall like Rain...

Now I'm old and my hair is grey,

I'm Thankful for the sun that warms my day,

I'm Thankful for those wonderful years,

but my memories now only bring new tears,

I remember the years that caused my pain,

and how my life went down the drain,

I dream my life again and again,

isn't it funny how Tears Fall like Rain ?
