Trax on my Soul

Trax on my Soul

A Poem by LonelySoul

With Every Impression of a Toe,

Weight Bearing Down,

Hard to Breath,

Her Foot Left the rest of It's Mark Across My Heart,

As if they were Fresh Prints in Wet Sand,

Upon the Shores of My Soul,

The Waves Echo My own Heartbeat,

Inside the Empty Cavern of My Chest,

A Last Kiss on Blowing Wind,

Like the Petals of a Rose,

Drifting Out to Sea,

As the Sun Sets,

My Tears Dry,

I Find Peace Under a Full Moon,

and Her Footprints are Washed Away,

By the Soft Gentle Waves of Time...

so hauntingly sad and beautiful. I could hear the waves resounding in the echoes of your heart, i especially loved that line. This shows such a tender, aching loss. Her impression on you was a deep one, hope you heal with time.

Thats was amazing... the metaphoric look at how someone can still leave an impression after their gone was really wonderful, very hauntingly beautiful.
