It's About Time

It's About Time

A Poem by LonelySoul

time flies when you're having fun,

but drags on if you have to wait...

Humanity is but a second,

upon the face of time,

but when the hour has come,

time will be endless,

or meaningless to some...

you may keep time,

but not in a bottle,

you may spend time,

but not at a bank,

and I hope you do so,

wisely and with friends,

time is money,

but only worth something to you,

or those important to your world,

and you can't put it in your pocket,

unless it is on a watch,

and that leads us back to keeping time...

what is time,

another friend,

or a bitter end,

but space to rhyme,

to push or hold,

or toe the line,

hide or spend,

or find a friend,

a friend of heart,

is a stitch in time,

when two souls meet,

like yours and mine...

Tremendous write. Goes into my favorites. This speaks of a truth that so many people don't understand until it's too late. Time is our most precious commodity. Really a wonderful poem.
