I watchedA Poem by Lonely BunnyA bunny watches a little girl grow up to be someone bitter.
I nuzzled into her
As the little girl pet me more She watched as I startle At the bitter voices through the door My fur became wet and her arms held me tighter “You can feel it too, don’t you?” I waited in her room As her heart grew sour All I could do was watch As her bitter words gained power To her scared lonely life, at least She now had bid adieu I kept myself hidden As her bitter voice Rang through the door. I stood there as a witness As her life succumbed to the noise Oh, but what could I ever do? I could nuzzle into her one last time My cold fur wet again from tears Then I heard a voice- like bitter honey A final embrace, oh so familiar “I lost myself and now you too, bunny” ………………………………………………………….
