Unpleasant nightmares,Boogie ManA Story by LondonSome times what one thinks to be only that of a bed time story is indeed much more. For the majority of us the boogie man exists only within that of the darkest corners of our deepest imaginations and nightmares. A fable, a tale spun over many years throughout the world to birth fear into the dreams of children late at night, A sadistic bed time story for lack of better words. A story brought forth from an urban legend that stemmed from Ireland back in the early 1900’s, late 1800’s Of a half man half demon that lurked with in the woods on the darkest of nights searching out the children that misbehaved, Even many movies have been born do to the story of the boogie man. The type of movies that one will lie within the darkness of one’s very room late at night with the over welling erg to hide within the very sanctuary of one’s own covers. Keeping the hall light on to bring that of a security filling to one’s own self. Every sound with in the darkness makes your bold run cold. And a shiver runs up your very spine. He is told to be the one that comes through you’re half open window with the cool breeze on that of a worm summer night, When the air out side is waded heavy with that of the type of humidity that would make the air of that of the surrounding night thick and sticky, making it hard for one to breathe. The kind that makes your night clothing stick to you. For it is only with the breath of children that he is able to sustain his own life force, impelling those he comes for into eternal darkness so that he, himself may live. Only within the cover of the darkness of the night he is able to move freely searching out his victims one by one. Watching through their windows as they sleep soundly within their warm beds unaware of the fate that awaits them, Only when all is quit within the house late at night will he come for you, lying in wait until the last of the lights within your house fades to blackness. And all have gone to bed, By then it is too late he is already within your house, Hiding just out of sight within the darkest corner of your room, or in the closet, he is the shadow that you only catch a glimpse of out of the corner of your eye, but when you look there is no one there, he is the foot steeps you hear when all within the house has already gone to bed. He is the soft voice that calls out your name when you are the only one home; he is the breath on the back of your neck when there is no one around. He is the foot steeps you hear walking behind you on that dark walk home late at night. You can fill him getting closer as the panic with you rises from somewhere deep inside of you, forcing a scream that will never be heard For remember tonight he comes for you, © 2011 LondonAuthor's Note
