Old leaves still fiery,
Float across the gentle breeze; fall
A new life in death.

This is classic. It works so well on many levels, just like good Haiki should. You have the fiery leaves being old, but still bright and alive (in death). And the fiery color reminds us of fire, the transformer, and that the world is not done with the leaf, but has a "new life" planned for it as it carrys it on a gentle breeze and sets it carefully on the forest floor. Very well done.
