Reborn

Reborn

A Poem by Lola_Bee

Too much for too little for so many

yet it rolls from your tongue

old is thy soul with a face so young

I want to be, I want to see, through your eyes

I want to feel your heart in mine, love or despise

You are nothing to yourself, yet too me everything

Bare it all, naked as we are born

Take control for once lost or torn

Piece it together my dear forlorn

I need you to want to be, so I can love thee

And set you free

for only hope of living and breathing

Thought provoking in you I’m believing

That you are meant for the heavens and not the earth

You were born to die at birth

I liked the logic of the poem.
"That you are meant for the heavens and not the earth
You were born to die at birth"
The above lines are true. This is why we must enjoy our life. Do things we enjoy when we can. Thank you Lola for sharing the excellent poetry.

There is a tragic heaviness to this piece, it seems to me. There is a feel of an entity that possesses symbolic innocence and nobility that perseveres in the heart, though its tangible existence is brief.

It has both a haunting tone mixed with a feel of ... sanctity? There is a quality about it that conveys to me a feeling loss and gain, all at the same.
