Till Death Do us PartA Poem by LokiA vengeful spirit and a longing to love.In the cold dark room Bestows the shadow Deaths cold gloom Corners the widow
As she screams A hurtful cry Large bright beams Fill the sky
Her hope returns She begins to smile Until her light Starts a fire
As the house Goes up in flames She feels trapped As a shackled slave
Out the corner Out of the house Haunted from her Former spouse
He is so desperate Filled with despair A wonder on why His wife never cared
Wondered on why Why she had left "promise you sweetheart I loved you to death."
He cried out While stalking behind her As she ran through darkness Her soul he will capture
"You think you could leave It is really not that easy It's till death does us part Remember my sweetie."
As the apparition Continued to cry He manifested a scythe And faster he'd fly
Closer and closer His soul grew near He closed in And she was struck with fear
There she falls Down to her knees Clenching her chest And feeling the breeze
The man reared up And gripped the scythe The woman fell over losing all sight
There she lay Still on the floor It was not the time She could have felt more
Dropping the scythe The ghostly man wept Slowly he cried And closer he crept
He felt her skin And held her tight He thought to himself "This wasn't right."
He lifted her head Up to his chest He tore up his soul At least what was left
A small voice Spoke very slow Till death do you part Our love will soon grow
He sunk down And accepted his fate His ghostly appearance Began to fade. © 2015 LokiAuthor's Note
