Day by Day

A poem about depression.

"Get over it" some people say.
If only I could find a way.
Alive within me every day 
are memories that will not stray.
Into this hole
my heart sinks
day by day
Drowning in this sea of gray
are all my hopes for brighter days.
I will not take my own away
so darkness, doubt, and dismay
will take my life 
piece by piece

day by day.

Logan this is the best piece of writing I have read today.
You have expressed very deep emotions in a clear, relate-able way whilst also rhyming impeccably.

Extremely moving especially for myself having a friend called Logan who went through all this and more. He took his own life earlier this year. RIP.
