Bits & Spits

Bits & Spits

A Poem by Joseph Eluzai
"

A word-play....

"

Bits of land

Spits of sand

Patches of water

Clutches of meter

Spurts of wood

Bursts of good

Ditches of light

Pitches of night

Windows of rains

Shadows of pains

String of prayers

Sting of layers

Traces of footsteps

Graces of doorsteps

Pack of cigarettes

Stack of signets

Voices of spokesmen

Noises of craftsmen

Seasons of meaning

Reasons of leaning

Ports for sailing

Forts for wailing

Lighthouses on peaks

Clubhouses on steaks

Legion of wits

Religion of spits
