The Lonely HourA Poem by HI hate this feeling in my bones Like all my words are empty
I'll never make it if I keep on Going down this lonely road
Goodbye to solitude and reason The angels reaching out for me The water rushing under me
The fall wouldn't be so long If I took a running start
Misty clouds hide secrets Too dark and deep for my weary mind
Staring out a closed window The clock chimes one and all is done
I waited for you Endured the endless ticking just for you
I fall from the hilltops again and again Is it impossible to deceive deceit?
Murky eyes tell tales of past Where hope was free and love exsisted
The windchimes sound like chariot bells What good is a key to a broken heart?
To the end of the earth I walk And when will I come back again?
When straight becomes curved I know to hide From castles and airplanes emerging in the dark
Why is it better to loved and have lost Than to never have loved? Either way is cruel
The tide pulls me closer to be farther from you
The pen and the paper Draw out stories that cannot be spoken
On a crushed wreath of roses Tears fall from the sky
