Amber thoughts. WELL IM BACK

Now at the door to her future, Adira hesitates. She scolded her self for being so foolish as to think about hesitating at an opportunity like this. She was one of the few to be selected to be working for their home planet. She worked hard, in much counseling and schooling. There was no turning back now. 

Placing her palm on the panel next to the door, she breathed out. It beeped: 

Adira Sea Green, Welcome.

The door opening, Adira continued inside. There were many people inside, hustling and walking about. 

She saw there was a front desk, so she went there. A woman with disinterest was tapping away at a computer.

Adira cleared her throat.  "Excuse me?"

The woman looked up, taking in my presence.  "Yes, what is it?"

Adira opens her bag, shuffling with my things, she pulls out a folder and give it to the woman. She takes it,examines it, and does some typing on her computer. 

Finally, she looks up.  "Adira Green?"

Adira nods. 

"Your supervisor, will be with you in a moment. You can wait for him, in the waiting room."

The woman goes back to tapping on her computer, without so much as a 'have a nice day!'

Adira moves away from the desk, and follows the direction of the sign leading to the waiting room.

When she turns the corner, bumps into someone. She went to mumbling apologies, and leaving but the person stopped her with a hand on her shoulder.

Looking up, Adira could see she bumped into boy, about her age. He stared at her with irritated eyes. She panicked. This must be someone important she bumped into.

"S-Sorry,"  She stuttered. "I didn't see you, I must've-"

"Are you Adira?" He interrupts.

Adira nods her head, embarrassed.

"Well I am your supervisor. Markus."

 He inclined his head to a direction. "To my office?"

Adira finds her voice. "Ah, yeah."

As they walk to Markus' office, Adira notices ....
