Muddied Souls

Muddied Souls

A Poem by L.M.W.

We've grown so lost, we've lost the sight.

The true evil and the true light.

Muddied the waters, made them black as night.

New found levels of cruelty because the old did not suffice.

We all need it, to start anew.

The Phoenix did it, and so can you.

The road less traveled now disappeared from sight.

Robert Frost had it right, but will it end in fire or ice.

For it shall end, of that I must be right.

It’s too dirty now, too much dark, loosing more and more light.

Tis’ true evil was a product not nature.

But the choice to continue was a free one of conduct.

Too many have chose wrong, the game has come undone.

Death and later rebirth, empty the waters, refill the earth.

When you fall, be done.

No questions or concerns nor what-ifs or I wish.

A cleansing of the soul, be done.

Be reborn with a new soul, a new shot, a new goal.

Have a fresh start in the light and a new world to call home.

We all need it, to start anew.

The Phoenix did it, and so will you.

In the Robert Frost line I mean his poem 'Fire and Ice' and 'The Road Not Taken'.

I love how you repeat the part about the Phoenix and how you are reborn and your soul is cleansed. Great work!
