Imaginary Friends are Drugs

Imaginary Friends are Drugs

A Poem by L.M.W.

Nobody can see you but me,
My very own secret.

You don’t leave me feeling bad like others,
You make me all better.

I don’t have to share your affection,
You’re solely for me.

You don’t control me,
You let me make my own decisions.

We don’t have to go out,
You prefer it being just us anyway.

You don’t look at me weird,
We act weird together.

You don’t treat me like a kid,
You know I’m mature and trust me.

They believe that I don’t know what real is,
You’re the realest thing I know.
