There once was a meA Poem by Tanesha A. RaySort of like my ode to the spirit of nihilism...
I remember when, I don't want to remember how There seems no hope in the past, the future, or the now Lacking are the dreams of old, the tales of heroes passed The time to read of such fairy tales had come and gone so fast Adult hood thrust upon me, a dagger and a law Pave the road for your children children, or like dominoes watch them fall Animosity is my stronghold, I despise the rules of man Dictating my liefs' instruction my won't and can't and can's I refuse to be a puppet, to line up in uniform I as well as anyone can stand and destroy reform It's not that I'm a nihilist a rogue or a rebel All I have are the intentions of creating ripples with my pebble Destroy me if you can, but future anarchist they will see of how I fought to save my soul because, there once was a me
