Our Stars

Our Stars

A Poem by Hannah Morgan
"

Wrote this for my loved one. Inspired by a night we had sitting outside and gazing at the midnight sky.

"

Our Stars

A blanket of deepest midnight coats the sky.

Am endless orbital ocean,

Waves upon waves of black and blue obscurity,

Breaking across the Ariel scene.

Encrusted with planetary diamonds which no man shall possess and sings a song of a millennia of majesty.

Tonight we have been granted an audience and in respect,

In awe we are silent.

Ancient innocence hovers above, drawing us in and towards each other.

The natural quietness of this moment roars with intensity,

Which creates something so precious.

An existence that is ours alone.

The memory of the night that the stars were our stars.
