The Daoist

The Daoist

A Poem by Hannah Morgan

A presence that enters silently,

Yet speaks volumes.

He requires no bravado,

It is artificial.

A seat transforms in to a podium,

Yet it is the world speaking.

He is anticipating to learn.

A few chosen words shared,

Yet they echo the wisdom of life exposure.

He is generous of spirit and expects no payment.

An aura of contentment is distinctive,

Yet it is deserved and pure.

He is in a state of constant gratitude.

A mind full of ideas and philosophy,

Yet is open to the new and unexplored.

He is not a preacher but a life student.

A man born like any other,

Yet embraces the natural order.

Not attempting to control it but flowing within it.

He believes that things will materialise when the allotted time is right.

It is simply a matter of taking one day at a time.
