Dear God

Dear God

A Poem by Lizzy Elliot
"

This comes from my unending crave for Gods mercies and thankful for His faithfulness

"
Dear God,

In the midst of the darkness,
I see your light pierce through the void.
My knees succumb to your holiness,
Your will I seek to employ.

When my faith is weakened,
I will seek your grace-
My only hope.
Doubt will then be beaten.

As the world caves me in,
I will dig through the bricks;
I will fight for your feet,
I will bow in your midst.

I watch my star beam in your presence,
The rest of the world talks its nonsense..
In the midst of this, their faith will be forsaken,
But you will never be forgotten.
