Adrian's POV
“I said OUT, RICHARD!” I heard Matty yell. I looked back at the stairs and saw Richard lumbering down, then slamming the front door behind him, making me and Felicia flinch. Jensen ran up right away. Great, that's the last thing Matty needs. More bullshit from Rich... I stood up.
“You coming with?” I held my hand out to Felicia.
“Obviously.” She took my hand to stand up easier. Then we walked up the stairs, cautiously and quietly. When we reach the doorway, I see Jensen wiping tears away from her eyes. He actually does seem like a nice guy. Totally misjudged him for being a jock. We knelt down next to her, Felicia and I each grabbing a hand.
When Matty was done explaining what had happened, and why she wasn't at school, I just stood there shocked. She couldn't even finish what she was saying completely. I can't believe someone would do that to our Matty… If I ever found out who did it I would skin them alive and shove a curling iron up their a*s. As I was thinking about this, Jensen pulled all of us into a big group hug. It was kind of weird at first but we all adjusted quickly for Matty's sake.
“You know, when I first saw this hunk, I was straight for a second.” Felicia said, and everyone started laughing. She was always one to brighten the mood. It was one of her best qualities.
After agreeing to watch Harry Potter, we were all back in the living room, tucked in cozily. Matty and Jensen were on the couch, while Felicia and I were on the floor. It was still pretty comfy though. I was like a happy little burrito… Yes, I'm aware I'm a seventeen year old, thank you.
Felicia fell asleep not long before me. Within minutes of watching the movie we were both dozing off. I don't remember much after that.
When I woke up the next morning, everyone else was still asleep. It was a Saturday, thank goodness. No school! Just get to hang out with my friends. I can't wait until I move out and get a house with Matty and Felicia. We’re all going to split the cost of a larger-sized house. I wanted a music studio, Felicia wanted a geeky-looking office with a bunch of computers, Matty wanted a mini library, and Rich was going to have a man-cave in the basement… We had it all figured out…
I pushed the thought away as Matty and Jensen began to stir on the couch. Jensen opened his eyes first, of course looking right to Matty, safe under his arm. He smiled gently down at her, and I couldn't help but smile as well. It was so nice to see that Matty is with someone that cares about her as much as she cares about them.
When Matty opened her eyes, she found Jensen staring at her.
“You guys are a-dork-able!” I laughed and made kissy faces.
“Oh yeah, just like you and Misha.” Jensen snickered. I blushed, remembering the last time I saw him.
“...Shut up.” They both laughed as Felicia started yawning and groaning.
“Adrian, you should totally have Misha come over next time, though! That'd be so cool!” Matty said tiredly. At least she seems to feel better, not perfect, but definitely better.
“That honestly sounds like a really fun idea!” I replied happily.
“Oh come on, guys,” Felicia groaned. “If you thought being a third wheel is bad, try a fifth wheel!” We all laughed again.
“You'll find somebody, Felicia, don't worry. You're like the coolest person ever. There’s a cute girl out there just for you.” I reasoned. She seemed to cheer up a bit more at that.
“Thanks, Adrian.”
“No problem.”
“Maybe we should all go to the mall so you can meet up with Misha, and I can scope out the hot chicks!” She grinned mischievously.
“As much as I'd love to do that, I have to get home. My mom is going to go all “ape s**t” on me if I don't get back soon.”
“Awww, that sucks… Maybe next weekend, though?”
“I'll have to ask, but probably!”
“Yay!” Felicia cheered.
“FINALLY! I WANT TO SEE YOU AND MISHA WITH EACH OTHER LIKE UGH.”
“Calm down, Matty. In time.”
“Easy for you to say!”
When I got home, I had a buttload of dishes to do, and my dad was in a bad mood. Nothing new there. Once I finished my chores, I finally went to plug in my phone. I turned it on and it instantly started buzzing over and over again. When I looked at the ID it read “Misha <3”. The messages mainly consisted of him asking how the sleepover went, and if I had got home safely. I smiled, remembering I was going to see him at school soon.
I nearly missed the bus, but thankfully the bus driver knows I'm always on, so he waited a few seconds. Next person to get on was Misha! It was right up the road but it felt like forever. Once he was finally on and sitting next to me, I hugged him. We couldn't get too mushy on the bus, because the bus driver didn't appreciate it.
“I missed you over the weekend, ya know.”
“I missed you too, Misha.” I smiled up at him.
“Well who wouldn't?” He gave me a corny grin. I just laughed and leaned my head against his shoulder, and he rested his head on top of mine. We would've fallen asleep, but we had to get off because we were at school a few minutes later.
As we stepped off the bus, an icy wind hit me. I couldn't help but shiver. Misha noticed right away, frowning slightly.
“Here, take this. You need it more than I do.”
Misha took off his jacket, wrapping it around me. I put my arms through the oversized sleeves, thankful for the warmth.
“Aren't you going to be cold?”
“I'll survive.”
“You better.”
He chuckled, putting an arm over my shoulders.
Once we got in the building, I started to take off the jacket, but Misha stopped me.
“I want everyone who sees you to know you're mine, you can give it to me in History, okay?” He hugs me tightly.
“Okay. I'll see you in PE!”
“Yeah, byyye!”
Aaaaaand time for trig. Yay me.
The day went by pretty smoothly, except… Felicia wasn't at lunch. Or English. She sent me a message apologizing for not being at school, and that she was hanging with a really pretty girl and her friends. She also said she would be doing the same thing tomorrow, except that she'd be back about halfway through lunch. I just replied with a simple “Okie dokie!” and just went on with my homework.
After joining my family for dinner, I just crept back upstairs to my room to sleep, I was so worn out.
