But I did not stay in the dark for long at least that was what I felt.

My alarm was beeping and I turned to hit it to turn it off.

At school the time was flying, each period my thoughts drifted of at least twice. I was thinking about Cory and what he told me last night and that I was some weird kind of an exception and that he could not explain it more.

After school ended I had to go to my job like every Friday. I worked only nine hours a week but every single penny was going into my saving pot for a trip around the world.

It was hard work to keep up with all the people who are coming into our local game and computer store. Today was not very busy so I was able to leave early.

When I pulled into our driveway I saw that my moms car was not there, she was probably  at the store in Gainesville to get some food. I looked under the rock in  our flower bed for the front door key. And it was in the spot where it was supposed to be. I unlocked the door and walked in I thought that Mia would be home but she wasn’t. Instead I found a note lying on the table.

“ Girls, there was an emergency in the company. I had to fly out to L.A.. Call me as soon as you are home.

Loves Mom”

How wonderful that she left only with a note on the table. She did not mention where my sister is nothing but I think Mia would be probably at Ms. Jones house next door. I walked into the living room to get the  phone from the table. I dialed the number next door.

“Hello?” It was Ms. Jones. “Hi, it is  Gwen. Is Mia at yours?”  

I heard some  clicking in the back maybe her cat tipped something over or whatever. “Yes I will send her over in a second. Sorry I got to go I have dinner on the stove.” And she hang up.

Five minutes later the doorbell rang it was Mia as I expected.

We had Pizza for dinner because neither of us was in the mood of making something else.

Later that night we watched a movie about a princess, Mia is in love with those. After I carried her upstairs to her bed because she had fallen asleep I started my homework. Tonight it was not as much as last night but I still worked on it for about one and a half hours.

I had no clue how to do my Physics homework so I decided to do it tomorrow during lunch when my friends could help me.

I was excited to go to sleep  just to wake up as Lola again.
