When I Grow Up I Want To Be...[Corporate Zombie]

A Poem by Mercury Mirrors
"

This is how my parents tried to raise me. =/ well they didnt do it to b malignant but its the way they were raised & the way their parents were raised & etc. Just showing you how i see people every day...not doing anything exciting or interesting

"
Suits with no one in them walk, walk, walk down crowded streets.
Briefcases hold their throbbing, bleeding hearts that don’t beat.
That’s the life your parents hope for you to have someday.
And they will medicate you if you don’t go their way.
Sheltered & locked away, you have nothing you can do.
Slowly you succumb & the disease infiltrates you.
And you end up just like them though you swore not to be.

Marching down that crowded street, a corporate zombie.

I now where you come from, I never could do the suit and tie thing, the closet was being assistant manager at Sears and I just didn't fit cause i couldn't be as uptight as they wanted so now I do drywall work and am happier for it... anyways I love this I won't adapt to societies standards rant. Awesome work.
