You soulless people, you disgust me.

Your rules are so old they got dusty.

Change seems to terrify you more than ever.

It’s a standstill that seems to last forever.

The world’s frozen like a paused TV screen.

Macabre coating it with a vermilion sheen.

Children are playing tic-tac-toe in the mud.

Their father dead, their mother in a puddle of blood.

While half a world away we’re gorging on gourmet.

And we live comfortably, never hungry for even a day.

We put out commercials & fundraisers but no one comes.

America is too busy sitting, getting fat & counting its sums.

All the other countries go about & mind their own nations.

Trying to deal with rising gas prices fueled by inflammation.

Everywhere our greed & blindness are causing suffering.

Our eyes see things like a bad video, it needs some buffering.

But my eyes see as clear as a newly purchased blue-ray disk.

And I’m the only one of you mindless zombies that ever takes risk.

My back is breaking under the weight of the data I’m receiving.

My eyes are wide open, I can’t shut them though I hate what I’m seeing.

I just want out of this world, out of this life, away from you all!
