I think it’s high time for a little revenge.
My broken heart is screaming out to be avenged.
You walk away happy by her side, but soon!
You’ll be rocking in corners through midnight & noon.
Have you ever had a motive to cause someone pain?
To drive them out of their minds & into the insane?
I’ll make him claw out his eyeballs & drink the blood.
Cause him to run outside naked & drown himself in mud.
I’ll haunt the f****r; I’ll make him see my gaunt face everywhere.
It’s going to drive him to madness; he’ll rip out all of his hair.
I’m going to stand outside his window on a cold, rainy night.
With no raincoat, no umbrella, & no f*****g flashlight.
The light of the moon behind will illuminate my face.
A form of misery with puffy red eyes cloaked in black lace.
Scratching at the glass, hunched over, and staring at him.
Red eyes dripping mascara, gray lips set in a scowl, grim.
If he looks me in the eyes, my lips will stretch out in a smile.
I dare him to let me inside; I’ll slug his gut till he pukes bile.
For years & years I’ll always be in the shadows, watching, lurking.
Until he dives off a roof to escape me always there, sad or smirking.
I’ll stand over his mangled corpse & give his cold lips one last kiss,
And turn around, letting it all go, stepping back into the mist.

This piece held my attention and more and more that seems impossible, I found the rhyming forced and inconsistent. I did appreciate the jagged emotion that was portrayed in the piece, but felt like you were holding back. Rage, anger, and revenge are fantastic tools for a writer to use as we root around in our literary gardens but don't f**k around drawing finger sketches in the sand, strip off your clothes, rub the mud in your hair, taste the grit between your lips and roll with it. I look forward to reading more of your work.
