My Foolish Heart.

My Foolish Heart.

A Poem by Mercury Mirrors
"

=/ Unfinished Song.

"

Let me dig out my heart & bury it so I can think clearly

Let me hide it away, rest my soul. I’m so weary.
It’s been dragging my spirits down, oh so far.
Happiness, a prick of light like a cold, distant star.

I’m holding my beating, pulsing burden out to you
Take it, just please take it, I don’t care what you do!
Take it & run with it till we’re worlds apart.
The bane of my existence, my foolish heart.

Let it stop beating, last of my sanity retreating
Let me stop needing you let me stop greeting.
I'm unraveling, I'm coming undone at the seams
The walls of my cell are all that stifle my screams.

And still…

I’m holding my beating, pulsing burden out to you
Take it, just please take it, I don’t care what you do!
Take it & run with it till we’re worlds apart.
The bane of my existence, my foolish heart

Let it stop beating, my last sanity retreating

How about "Let it stop beating, lost my sanity retreating..."
it's easier to sing...

My own embrace is all that secures my seams

How about, "My own embrace is all that seams secure"

lyrical, mystical

and the rest is awesome, gripping, variety, reminds me of

really good start! Keep it going!

Lovely...my favorite part is ...a prick of light like a cold distant star....im holding my beating pulsing burden out to you...very nice...I feel the point of this poem....and even though its dark like a lot of teen poetry i feel like theres a clear difference in your maturity and word choice....its deeper than most teen poetry....i love it :)
