Bathroom Stall Scene Beggining.

Bathroom Stall Scene Beggining.

A Chapter by Mercury Mirrors

This is just one part of the story. Probably somewhere between the beggining & middle. All I know is I was to record it here so I don't lose my notes. Enjoy.

We heard scuttling like that of rats’ feet & grunts & snorts that sounded like some kind of animal that I can’t even imagine. Hartley froze up suddenly, looking from the corner of his eye into the mirror above one of the sinks, where one of them could barely be see trudging around the corner. Quickly, he shoved me into the nearest bathroom stall then jumped in behind me. We closed & locked the door as quietly as possible. I pulled my legs up above the ground. I was sitting on the tank of the toilet & Hartley had done the same, sitting in the seat. I shoved my hand in my mouth & wrapped my arms around myself, trying hard to stop my body from shaking & stifle the sobs that threatened to burst forth from me. I bit into my knuckles but not hard enough to draw any blood...that was the last thing we wanted. I remember being so afraid.

Hartley peered through the crack in the door, I pulled him back, yanking on his jacket & trying without words to tell him just to hide & not draw any attention to us. He shirked me off & kept looking. More of the infected had gathered & where just wandering, running around like they were looking for something. I guessed that we were it...food. They could smell us but they didn’t know where we were...
