Just A Sad Song

Just A Sad Song

A Poem by Mercury Mirrors

This is the hardest thing I’ve ever had to do.
I hate to be saying this, but I just don’t love you.
And I can see it in those dark eyes that all along you knew.
I just wish there was something that I could do.

I wish I had never even met you that day.
Because we ruined each other, now there’s nothing left to say.
Believe me when I tell you I want nothing but to stay.
But I made a huge mistake, & now with my tears I have to pay.

Those damned scientists better hurry up & find a way to turn back time.
Because I want to run through three whole years & make sure you were never mine.
It’s only to save my heart from being torn apart & to get me out of this bind.
Before the loss of you claims my very soul & I finally lose my mind.
