Embodiment of heartbreak.
Lonely, sad. In denial, going mad.
I stare at these moldy walls, that crumble & fall.
Zig-zag lines from my fingernails give them texture.
A memory of my pain in this private cell. In this Hell.
Beauty has deserted me, left me haggard & dirty.
Every friend & love I had has betrayed me, all gone.
The only thing keeping me here is my poetry, this pen.
Had I not found this small release, I’d be long dead.
