My...

My...

A Poem by Mercury Mirrors

My hopes are like bubble wrap,
For you to kill each one ‘POP!’
All my aspirations & dreams,
You just never stop!

My heart has a target, painted red,
For you to aim a bullet at.
Made only for your amusement,
To torment & torture it.

My sanity is a glass orb,
That you caress in your rough fingers.
That you throw against the wall & smash,
Into sharp little shards & splinters.

And I myself am just a rag doll,
For you to rip to shreds then sew,
Back together, saying your sorry,
But you’re really not…I know.

Excellent poem. every one i read from you is so heartfelt and so personal, but yet so understandable. And, of course, the mechanics (rhyme scheme, etc.) is up to par and beyond. You're too good! :)
