BREAKUP

BREAKUP

A Poem by Mercury Mirrors
"

I just dumped Richie so I'm venting about it here. We broke up because of his mother taking him away from me for days on end.

"
Baby, I’m missing you already.
This pain in my chest throbs steady.
The whispers of the wind seems to say
“I never thought I’d see this day”

I never thought there’d be an end to this,
I thought that, years later, we’d still share a kiss.
But I guess I was sorely mistaken
Now my sore heart is finally breakin’

I hate to let her ruin the best thing for me,
But until you stand up to her we just can’t be.
I thought I meant enough to you that you’d try,

But all you did was hide in the corner & cry.

Awesome! I love it. Your format was so simple but you made it flow perfectly.
