Push & Shove

Push & Shove

A Poem by Mercury Mirrors

My words are running together,
Like raindrops in bad weather.
I thought you’d be the one for me,
But now a beast is all I see.
Someone who doesn’t care,
Someone who was never there,
Even though you never left my side,
You would always try to hide,
All your secrets you couldn’t tell,
All the reasons you’re going to hell.
I’ll wave down from above,
In a dress, white as a dove.
Standing next to my only love.
I’m sorry that push came to shove.
