HeartRape

HeartRape

A Poem by Mercury Mirrors

I was used by you, seduced & raped.
I was fooled by you but I escaped.
Now I hear that you’re with my friend.
I wish to myself that this game would end.

Stop hurting me, while I am helpless.
You know that I can’t handle this.
What’s wrong with you, what are you?
You fooled me with ‘I love you.’

Made me do things I never would have done,
If I’d have known you were with someone.
I should have read the signs early on.
Before I was scarred & you were gone.

You’ve effectively ruined my life.
Now I will ruin yours with a dull knife.
I’m sorry it had to end this way
But I can’t watch you walk away.
