Don*s Game

Don*s Game

A Poem by Mercury Mirrors
"

Another rant poem about Don...I'm flushing him out of my heart. ><

"

Addicted to your sweet charm,

But the edges of your icy heart,
Cut my hands & run blood down my arms.
So, for the pain you caused, I rip it apart.

Those blue eyes of yours are frozen over,
They have been ever since the day,
I told you that you & I were over,
That I didn’t want to play.

It was like a twisted monopoly game,
And we, girls, were the vacant lots.
For you to buy & give a name,
This was your evil plot.

I have my own name, my own self,
I don’t need you to guide me,
I’m not a doll up on a shelf,
I know who I am & who I’ll be.
