Heart Pain

Heart Pain

A Poem by Mercury Mirrors
"

This is just an artistic picture of what's going on inside me, what with the problems with Don & him affecting Richie & I...

"

Why do you keep insisting,

That your love wasn’t lie,

Why are your blue eyes misting?

Shouldn’t I be the one to cry?

These scarred hands are shaking,

As I sit here all alone,

My whole body seems to be quaking,

As I stare blankly at the phone.

Why won’t it ring for me anymore?
Why don’t you call me?

I sink slowly to the cold floor.

This isn’t how it should be.

“I love you.” Echoes in my heart,

As I stare at this loaded gun,

My heart & myself will finally part,

When I am completely done.

(as always with this subject, purely fictional.)

I'm so sorry your heart was broken by Don. We risk so much when we give our heart away & when we love. But that is the price we pay and unfortunately, sometimes the one we love disappoints us and it is devastating. I'm so glad to read the author's note and to know that you have learned a valuable lesson from James' death. His life and unfortunately also his death also taught me so much that I can never forget. Knowing that his life affected others makes a huge difference to me and validates his life also.
Love, Aunt Meg
