My WaterA Poem by Mercury MirrorsThis is about my love for water. It's got some kind of pull for me, even though it makes the scars on my fingers swell uup & look something terrible. It actualy IS my friend =/. Enjoy.Water seeps into my skin, It soothes me from deep within, It is my life & my friend, That I carry with me to the bitter end.
Water flows through my veins, Little crystal clear strains,
Of happiness, anger, joy, & despair.
There’s even drops of it in my hair. It caresses me softly, holds me tight, In the middle of the day, or the dark of night. Standing by the ocean, my home. With it by my side I can’t feel alone.
My heart is like a hollow seashell, If you put it to your ear you can hear the waves swell. It's the very thing keeping me alive. With it in my life I can never die. © 2008 Mercury MirrorsAuthor's Note
