The Ancient [Unfinished]A Poem by Mercury MirrorsThis is another poem much like 'The Vampire' I was tyring more dark, goth-romantic styles & this is what I came up with in homeroom class. Enjoy.Long years spent pacing. Memories retracing. What is my ancient mind chasing? A love that needs replacing.
In a castle alone. On a skull-riddled throne, I sit down with a groan. impatient nails click against stone.
Replace my love? Who's hands were soft like twin doves? Who was my angel from above? 'Tis something I couldn't dream of.
Love like that is a one time thing. I don't want a one night fling. Or an empty face wearing her ring. Or one who wants me because I'm a king.
