HeartpouringA Poem by Mercury MirrorsThis is a song I wrote for Max, when I loved him & thought he was the one...but now I know he;s not but I kept this because it's a perfectly good poem & I didn't want to throw it away. This time I pour my heart out to you. Know that every word is true. your name is written on my soul. You keep me warm when I am cold.
I know you don't have the same feeling. One look from me doesn't send you reeling. But you knock me off my feet. You make my body go weak.
it's a sensation that's overwhelming. I can't believe that I am telling, You everything that's in my heart. I'm breaking it down, taking it apart.
I want to show you so I can know. Where this little thing could possibly go. I can't touch you without trembling like a leaf. It's pure joy mingled with hopelessness & greif.
If you just take my hand I promise I'll stay. From your side I'll never stray. Just getting this all out in the open. And while you read this I'll be hopin'.
Or will this just be empty words. And fly from your mind like a flock of birds. Tell me I'm not fooling myself a lie. That there's a reason for me to try.
