Stitched Lips

A poem I wrote after a dream of a traumatic event as a child. It would be different for you if you read this the way it is on notebook paper covered in other phrases and violent drawings....enjoi xp

It took one night

hours that filled me with fright

you put a knife deep in my soul

the damage has taken its toll

I'm so helpless...

I'm so wortless...

All the tears in the world

couldn't wash away the pain you poured

into  me, blackening the snow

that was once intouchable

the love I had for you my family

was not what you felt for me, something unholy

 

(this is where it gets ugly)

 

I can't help this bloodshed

I don't see how you were so tempted

I was just a child

 Now I'm just vile

You see the scars I bear?

They will soon be yours I swear!

A tornado controls my thoughts

my fists were nothing as i fought

a pebble against a mountain

but Goliath has taken down David

 

I'm too afraid to say

even to this day

you tore my mind

and stitched these lips of mine
